I went through this a while ago, but I ended up quitting eventually due to lack of getting anywhere with it >_>

Omg, neat. After about one week of constantly remembering my dreams as long as I could (without writing stuff down) I had what was probably my first LD, I had some situations before where I could control the situation and just do stuff, but this was different, I almost immediately realized I was dreaming (WITHOUT stuff like WILD and MILD). I actually had 2 in a row, and they also lasted like 10/15 minutes both so that was pretty cool. Basically only "techniques" I used were trying to remember your dreams (I can almost fully recall dreams I had 6 days ago, so that might be a good indication of what kinda remembering level you should reach) and also I tried clearing my mind before going to bed, by listening to music and trying to imagine a broom cleaning out your brains (like is mentioned on the LD4all site).

So anyone watching this old dusty topic, that's all I took for me. If you feel like it try it and if it doesn't work well then remember that each person is different.
